how do you say "I could have"

i'm saying "i believed that i could have", i have "yo creaba que" but i don't know the tense i should use for the next part

Since "creer" is a -er infirnitive, you'll want to start with "(Yo) creía que..." (not "creaba"). So, for example, if your sentence were:" I believe that I could have done it." you would say "Creía que podría haberlo hecho". Or, "I believe that I could have gone" - "Creía que podría haber ido".

The structure you are looking for is the conditional of "pder" (which is "podría"), plus the infinitive "haber" (which is the auxiliary verb infinitive) and then the past participle of whatever your other verb is.
