Where do you like to eat?

I am only up to lesson 1.8 and I am trying to extrapolate what I've learned so far. Instead of asking where can I go to eat, I'd like to ask the person where THEY like to eat (to get a recommendation from someone I maybe don't know). Is it proper to phrase the question like this:
¿Dónde le gusta comer?
Also, would I need to include "le", if I am obviously talking to them? Or should I leave it because it's the "formal you"?
