what's the best way to say "shocked"?
Looking through the dictionary, i couldn't decide. sentence:
the more she learned, the more shocked she became/ she became more and more shocked at what happened etc.

well shocked is "asombrado" or " en shock"
I think qfreed is correct. I would go along the lines "ella se ponía más y más estupefacta", ie, surprised or "ella se ponía más y más espantada", ie, horrified.
"Ponerse estupefacta" doesn't fit for me in my opinion... If you want something to fit in that sentence use:
"Ella se ponía más y más nerviosa" or "Cuanto más nerviosa se ponía"
she became more and more shocked at what happened etc.
shocked usually involves surprise and emotional imbalance (fear, uncertainty, etc.)
it can also mean disgust or revulsion
as yours involves "becoming more and more" I'm wondering if you mean the 2nd definition rather than the first.
If so, I don't think asombrado is the correct word, but we need more context.
