how would i say "all this time" ?

I am writing a skit for Spanish class and i need to know how to say all this time. One of the characters is looking for a pair of scissors and the other says that they have had them all this time. So far i have "yo tuve las tijeras..." meaning i had the scissors... but i need the all this time part. any help would be much appreciated!
