a donde se fue, "where did it go" "where he went"

fue = went (from ir)

but the form can also come from ser, "to be"

this site has a good dictionary. You should check there first!

Where has he/she gone to, and fue is the third person past tense of the verb ir which means to go. and note that a donde means where to.

went Where did he go?

ir/ser 3rd person singular preterit

Usually if you type a conjugated verb into the dictionary it will tell you the conjugation at the top of the page. Here I had to refer to the root it gave in the definition.
