Here the pronoun "usted" comes after the verb:

"Qué hace usted en su tiempo libre?"

Here it comes before:

"Usted practica muchos deportes?"

Does it's position matter in these cases?

You could also write: Usted, ¿practica muchos deportes?

Now, if I read ¿Usted practica muchos deportes? I could interpret that the emphasis is in usted, so I´m not really asking what sports but if you practise sports.

Sometimes, pronoun position may imply subtle differences.

In this position it doesn't matter.

You could use:

"Usted practica muchos deportes?" and "Practica usted muchos deportes?" both have the same meaning.
