What is the difference between Caminando and Paseando?
Why is caminando used in: "La mujer está caminando." and paseando used in: "La mujer está paseando su perro."?

It´s not a difference between the verbs but between the actions involved
caminar = to walk
pasear al perro = to walk the dog
pasear = to promenade
Keep in mind translation will help you to understand what is said in Spanish, but every language has its particular way to represent the world, so it´s not a one-to-one relationship between words and grammar structures, thus sometimes pasear may be translated as walking and others as strolling, promenading or other depending on context.
Caminar y pasear son muy parecidas. Normalmente se utiliza caminar cuando vas a un sitio determinado y pasear cuando se hace por diversión, sin necesidad de querer ir a ningún lugar en concreto. Caminar:
Estoy caminando en dirección a tu casa.
Pasear:
Esta mañana estaba aburrido y fui a pasear al campo.
I think caminar means to walk, probably with a destination in mind.
Pasear also means to walk, but probably more like strolling. So paseanso would mean that the woman was out walking her dog to exercise the dog, probably not walking the dog to the vet clinic.
