What is the meaning of the phrase "alla meta"

Thank you very much. It makes sense. "alla meta" is found in my music score as: "saltellato alla meta" and it seems to mean "skip-like to the finish-line (end)". this is probably how i should play the phrase.

hi fiona - do you have a bit more information.
meta can mean goal in football, winning post regarding horses and finishing line regarding athletics.
alla means there or over there. put any of those two together and you may have your answer.
