Hi and welcome to the forum,
I have passed by many of these in Mexico and The Dominican Republic: ferretería
Nicole is right. The word translates back into English as Ironmonger, quite old-fashioned these days.
The "monger" part can be seen as dealer or trader so you get fishmonger, ironmonger etc.
It works as the "ría" ending does in Spanish, panadería etc.
The word seems to have slipped away somewhere after the 2nd World War but you see it occasionally on very old shop fronts in the UK.
In Mexico: tlapalería (derived from náhuatl) as well as ferretería is very common.
ferreteria
Ferretería is used in Spain.

They also say ferretería in Honduras.
