Quick question: Would this be more like, I'm setting myself "on track" or more like I'm taking a journey or both? thanks.

Hmm your guess of "I'm setting myself on track" is good.
Some synonyms would be:
"I start my journey"
"I put myself ready for the way"
"I'm moving"
"I'm going"
Is like, when someone order you to do something and you say that you are gonna start to do it
