This word is in the intro of the Shakira 'Tortura' song and I would like to know what it means

Well, i dont know if in this case she wants to mean that... But "payo" is the slang used by the gypsies to define the race of the other spanish people (in fact other race different than them).

Also in villages is the farmers are called like that. Hope it helps.

He is referring to her in terms of endearment. Same with negrita mia. Mi negrita. It's a endearing term, doesn't really have much to do with color or anything. Same with payita.
