Que hiciste este fin de semana?

Question

How Would you answer this question?

Answer 1

¿Que hiciste este fin de semana? - What did you do this weekend?

You can answer with pretty much any verb you want - if a question is asked with 'hacer' you definitely don't have to use it in your response.

I went to the store - "Fui a la tienda"

I had a party - "Tuve una fiesta"

It's a pretty open-ended question that you can answer in lots of different ways! Because it happened at a specific time, the preterite will be used, although you can also use the imperfect along with it...

I talked to my friend while we drove - "Hablé con mi amiga cuando conducíamos"
