Past Subjunctive Question

Past Subjunctive Question

Okay this question has really got me thinking, and I do not know how to translate it correctly.

I am supposed to translate "If you had bought it, we wouldn't have to walk to school" using the past subjunctive.

Which verb would be in the past subjunctive, and would the other verb therefore be in the preterite?

contrary-to-fact statement

If you had bought it, we wouldn't have to walk to school.

Si lo hubieras comprado, no habríamos tenido que andar a la escuela.

si + past perfect subjunctive....... conditional perfect
