For me "card" means "tarjeta" if I am talking about cards like "flash cards" "index cards", "picture cards", "greeting cards", "post-cards", all of them are "TARJETAS".

So, the plural of "tarjeta" is "tarjetas".

I only say "cartas" when I am talking about "playing cards" and when I am talking about "letters", but that's a different word.

You have to find out first who are you talking to (not all the Spanish countries use the same words por specific things) in order to choose what is the most convinient word to use.
