How do I say "bump" in this situacion? When I pull a patient from the gurney to the CT table, the way the table is curved there is an unpleasant bump the patient has to slide over. I like to warn patients that there is a bump. Thanks

Hi, welcome to the forumgrin

Va a notar un pequeño golpecito al moverle, la mesa no es del todo lisa.

You will notice a little bumb, the table is not all flat.

I think we have to use a very simple language here, if you are lying on a table to be operated you cannot deal with protuberanciaswink

According to the Collins dictionary, a bump in the road is "un bache".

Hopefully a native speaker will come along to tell you if that would work...

Or, similar to what you said "un pequeño sacudido" -- I think "un golpe" sounds like you´re thinking of swatting them smile

Welcome to the forum, by the way. Hope to see you again soon!

Maybe you can say : Ahora va a deslizarse sobre un borde o, Ahora va a deslizarse sobre una hendirura/ranura/ un pliegue / una ondulación.
