I enterend the following translation but after seeing it, I'm thinking that this is literal translation, can anyone tell me what the reall meaning of this is?

Te quiero mucho pero me siento que todo que nos tenemos es una perdida de tiempo. . . No podemos hacer esa cosa que nos hacemos ahora, pero en el futuro cuando no eran joven.

I love you but I feel that all we have is a waste of time. . . We can not do that thing we do now, but in the future when they were young

For the rest that is exactly how I would translate. I guess a mistake was made in the Spanish version or it is a way of saying things that I might not have understood
