I know this dictionary has "rizado" for kiny hair. But they means curly too. Kinky hair is very tightly coiled hair. - CoCoBB214, Feb 10, 2010

They use the term "tejido de cabello" for hair weave

Well, kinky hair is word that's famaliar to the Afro-American community. We like saying "kinky" instead of nappy. There is also a braiding style called kinky twists. Kinky can also mean closely twisted or coiled (referring to Webster).

"weavy" should be "wavy" - aloshek, Feb 10, 2010

I don't want to go off on a tangeant, but where I am from, the word "kinky" is not applicable to hair and is a very "adult" word. I am familair with the word "nappy", but is generally a very negative word, and rarely ever used by those who want to avoid the usage or racial slurs and allusions.

Sorry, I don't know what nappy is in Spanish.
