Rompecabezas -- a puzzle

Question

There are two verbs in Spanish with the same root, but in different conjugations (one is “ar”, the other is “ir”). The “ir” verb is a stem changer; the other is not. The meanings are approximately opposite. Without looking at other responses, can you tell me what these two verbs are?

Hay dos verbos en español que tengan la misma raíz, pero quedan en conjugaciones diferentes (uno es “ar”, el otro es “ir”). El verbo de conjugación “ir” cambia la raíz; el otro no. Significan cosas opuestas. Sin mirar otras respuestas, ¿me puedes decir qué son estos verbos?
