Well, I'm leaving, and not coming back, since some people think it is cool to flag me for no DAMN reason!

Maybe if they took off the point limit...

I hope your only reason for being on this site isn't to get points. tongue wink If that's your goal, then there are plenty of gaming sites where you can get massive points without limits. However this is a learning site. And learning a language takes dedication and commitment for the long term. The reputation points are just an incentive to stick to it, for the long term! I've seen your answers and I think you are learning well. Don't give up yet!

Also, there is no limit to the Learning Points you can get! Check out Ian-hill or Billy-jones. See if you can beat those points... wink

Well, we can't force you to do anything. So if you end up taking off, I wish you well! grin

Well, im leaving, and not coming back

Are you taking your toys with you?

Why are you so obsessed with points?

Do you really think people were flagging your for no reason?

This site requires some modicum of social interaction skills, unlike a video game. Maybe practicing social interaction with adults will help you hone those skills?

I really don't think anyone is trying to be cool at your expense tongue wink

Please stay Joey!

What will we have to do to make you stay?

There are other learning resources on here other than the flashcards that you can use to increase your Spanish knowledge. (Sorry they don't work! Have you asked a computer whiz yet?)

And, as Chaparrito stated, you shouldn't be here just to get points, we're all here (at least, we should all be here!) to learn! (not to see if we can beat out Heidita's rep score, which is pretty much impossible tongue wink)

Well, if you do go, we will miss you (and the Joke/Riddle of the day wink)

But, please reconsider!! alt text

Seems like a great opportunity for our native speakers to tell us the correct phrase for someone leaving in anger. The machine translations gave me:

Me voy. Salgo. Me estoy yendo.

"me voy" sounds perfect... (Is this a joke?... I can't believe what I'm reading)... This is a forum to learn Spanish... - Benz, Feb 10, 2010

Hello, I am new blood here but I will have my say anyway. My diagnosis is as follows: I can BET that you won't leave the website. Why? Because if you get frustrated by this points and flagging stuff, it means that there does exist a special, strong and emotional connection between you yourself, Joey, and the website. And, no worries. On St. Valentine's Day you can pour out your emotions or frustrations, which will make you feel better. Just like today! cool smile

Joey,

Stay! You have a lot of potential. You will be a great asset to the site. We all get frustrated sometimes. It will pass. Stay with us!

Can anybody tell why my font suddenly changed? - 002262dd, Feb 10, 2010
I fixed it, it was because you put the spaces in front of " Stay! you have....." and when you put a certain amount of spaces, it automatically goes to that font, I don't know why.... - hlsbookworm, Feb 10, 2010

If it doesn't kill you; it will make you stronger! Like wind blow on a tree will make the tree take roots stronger. If you stay; you will be stronger...

Joey, any learning will take time and practise. Learning at sites or with tools will mean you need to have extra patience since computerstuff sometimes just won't work. Quitting in this way gets you nothing but negative attention. Why not have a rest from the software problems and try again tomorrow?

Saludos, Chica

Maybe if they took off the point limit, or limited people to voting people of for 1 point, to 10 times a day, i might stay

Why would they want to do that? Okay, the point limit is annoying sometimes but you could also be proud to have reached so many votes that you can't get any more points - chicasabrosa, Feb 10, 2010

Hey Joey, I thought you might like to also check out this post by Sammy. He might be able to give you some helpful suggestions also! wink
