Has anyone heard of this name as a legitimate translation for the name "Walter"? If so, is this an "old-fashioned" name or a contemporary one? Gracias.

Well in my humble opinion, in today's current time. I do not hear of anyone being named Walter, so I would think it's an old fashioned name.

Gualterio does translate as Walter according to Behind the Name. I have yet to find any information as to whether it is old-fashioned or not.
