" que tiene que ver con ......
Hola I don't understand why this sentences translates the way it does. " que tiene que ver con ......" Its in my hw and when I put it into the translator it comes out as "What does this have to do with ....". I can usually read spanish fairly well but since when does ver translate to "to do".

It's one of those idiomatic expressions. It is much like when you say "I see it" when you understand something. You more literally could say "I understand," but the verb "see" is used even though you don't use your eyes. That's an example.
The translator is right, even though literally it does not make sense. Good question, though! I'm always double-checking on stuff like that just to be sure, since I am by no means a native speaker and idioms are very difficult in language learning.
