Correction on past post- It could be Adónde or dónde, but don´t forget the accents and signs. if is present: ¿Adónde compras los boletos? if is past: ¿Adónde compraste los boletos? if is future: ¿Adónde comprarás los boletos? if you do a mention about a long time ago you could say: ¿Adónde comprabas tus boletos?.

And also, for plural ¿Adónde compramos los boletos? Compraremos Comprábamos...and so on.. wink

Remember capitalization and accent/tilde (Dónde, comprarás) and punctuation (¿). - Lrtward, Feb 9, 2010

¿De dönde compraste los boletos? if it is past not adónde and then you will have just asked where did you buy the tickets from and if you want to know where you go to buy them from you would then say adónde for example: ¿adónde va para comprar los boletos? where do you go to buy the tickets? and you would use the preterite tense for the past wether it was a very long time ago or a short time ago, you would only use the imperfect ( comprabas in this case ) if it was something that you habitually did in the past and not just a one off.
