Are commas used in Spanish punctuation? If so, how? Do they use them to list things--or do they use the word "and"? ¿Cómo se usan las comas en español? Si la respuesta sea "sí" entonces ¿cómo? ¿Los usan para hacer una lista de cosas? ¿ó se usan las palabras "y" e "e"?

How about when addressing someone--is a comma used as is in English? For example, "Thank you, John." Would it be, "Gracias, Juan."? - chica1, Aug 15, 2010

When listing things, commas are used as they are in British English (no comma after the last thing). For example (American English), for dinner last night, I ate turkey, rice, and fruit. En español- anoche cené el pavo, el arroz y las frutas.

please do not use the article in pavo, arroz and frutas, it is not necesary and sounds foreing. Actually is incorrect to say the turkey, the rice and the fruits, when you eat them. You usually say I ate turkey, rice and fruits. - juluque, Feb 9, 2010
same in spanish: anoche cené pavo, arroz y frutas. - juluque, Feb 9, 2010

I think commas are used in spanish just like they are used in english and when used to list things, the and is only used on the last item in the list just like in english.
