Pregúntate a ti mismo

I need a confirmation on this phrase. I want it to mean "Ask yourself" then follow with a question....as in ....Pregúntate a ti mismo....¿Soy una persona buena?

Am I right to think that "Pregúntate a ti mismo" is the way to say this? thanks

I believe you are correct...I am not 100 percent sure as I am not a native speaker but with my four years of Spanish I don't see anything wrong with what you have there. It is grammatically sound.

One correction: It should be written "pregúntate" rather than "preguntate" for sake of preserving the accentuation. If you write it into a word processor and have it spell-checking for Spanish it will mark the latter as incorrect. Without the accent written it would be pronounced "pregunTAte," which is improper.

So just add the accent and you're good!
