No, it's pasear el perro.

For yo, it would me "Paseo el perro." ( I walk the dog.)

Pasea el perro. (He/she walks the dog.)

Etc.

I learned that either of these phrases is acceptable: "Sacar al perro" or "Pasear al perro", but I think the first is more common. The "al" is a combination of "a" + "el" ('the').

Hello Span1,

Welcome to our Spanishdict community forum smile

You asked / said:

One of the ways you can say Walk the dog = sacar a pasear al perro

I walk/ am walking the dog: Saco a pasear al perro

This first example uses the present indicative tense and is the best tense to use to express this.

I am walking the dog = Estoy sacando a pasear al perro

This second example uses the present progressive tense and should only be used to talk about an action that is happenkng now/ at the actual time!

ex 1.They used to walk the dogs in the 'Retiro' park every morning.

= Sacaban a pasear a los perros en el parque del Retiro cada mañana

ex 2. They were in the habit of walking the dogs in the Retiro park every morning.

= Solían sacar a pasear a los perros en el parque del Retiro cada mañana.

Notes:

1.Solía comes from the verb soler = to be in the habit of doing something/ to be accustomed to doing something. The first sentence uses the imperfect indicative = was doing something/used to do something which is used for repetitive actions in the past.

2.Parque del Retiro is in Madrid.

I hope this helps smile

Corrijan mi español si es necesario, por favor smile

In the Spanish language, the word “perro” is used for a dog. It is the singular noun, therefore, this word is used to refer one dog. For more than one dog you will have to use the word perros. This is same as in English due to which it should not be difficult to use right term for the right situation. So now you know what you call a dog is Spanish. for more detail visit how do u say dog in spanish
