El perro de los naranjos o mariposa de los naranjos (Papilio thoas) es una mariposa de la familia Papilionidae. Se la encuentra desde los Estados Unidos y México hasta las partes más australes de Sudamérica.

As far as I known is a term given to dogs that are abandoned by their owners.but the last part of your sentence is giving me fits "typically seen in March and April"
