How do you translate "they gave me medication"?
I am in spanish 2 right now and we were assigned workbook pages to do. Like always, I use this sight to help me on translation. We were learning on the imperfect, past participle, and preterite verbs. My teacher warned me about using translators because they did not use these verbs. I got most of it done by rereading and studying over the lesson in my textbook untill I came across this question.
Escribe dos oraciones completas discribiendo qué hacían tus
padres para hacerte dormir cuando eras muy joven. (What did
your parents used to do to put you to sleep.)______________

I tried to say "they gave me medication", but it didn't look right. I did it with my pryor knowledge and got ellos for they, dar for give, and para mí for to me. The text said that in the imperfect (which i guessed was the right verb form) use the conjucation -aban. The sentence "Ellos daban para mí" didn't seem right either. Please help me understand what to use in this case. ![]()

You have a good start here. Remember that you can put object pronouns in front of the verb, like this: "Ellos me daban medicamentos". You could dress up this sentence a little if you want, but it's complete like this.
