I'd like to share with you some common Spanish conversational expressions with English translations/interpretations. You can also download podcasts 25 and 26 from this website and read the transcriptions here and here.

Las formas para preguntar y para animar a la gente a participar en la conversación:
Vamos a opinar sobre (un tema). - We are going to give our opinions about (a topic).
Vamos a opinar sobre si creemos que …(la sociedad española es, o no, racista). - We are going to give our opinions about whether... (the Spanish society is, or isn't, racist).
Vamos a escuchar a los otros y a debatir con ellos. - We are going to listen to others and talk to them.
Podéis / Puedes hablar en general - You can talk in general
O podéis hablar de vuestra propia experiencia / Puedes hablar de vuestra propia experiencia / de tuya propia experiencia - Or you can talk about your own experience.
¿Qué os gustaría decir? / ¿Qué te gustaría decir? - What would you like to say?
¿Qué pensáis / piensas sobre lo que dice… (Ahmed)? - What do you think about what Ahmed says?
¿Estáis / Estás de acuerdo con lo que plantea….(Paul)? - Do you agree with what Paul states?
¿Qué os / te parece el punto de vista de…(Brigitte)? - How do you perceive Brigitte's point of view?
¿Otros puntos de vista? - Any other points of view?
¿A qué te refieres cuando dices…(“experiencia”)? - What are you referring to when you're saying... ("experience")?
¿Qué quieres decir exactamente? - What do you want to say exactly?
¿Podrías especificar un poco más? - Could you be more specific?
¿Cómo veis / ves lo que dice…(Sofía)? - How do you see what Sofía says?
Me gustaría saber qué opináis al respecto. - I'd like to know what's your opinion on this.
¿A qué os estáis refiriendo? / ¿A qué te estás refiriendo? - What are you referring to?
¿De qué habláis concretamente? / ¿De qué hablas concretamente? - What are you talking about exactly?
¿Estáis de acuerdo con…(Michel)? / ¿Estás de acuerdo con…(Michel)? - Do you agree with Michel?
