Marcelino pan y vino - translation help needed
Hola!
Could someone help me to accurately translate some sentences from the book? Some munks have been permitted to live close to some ancient ruins.
I can understand parts of it but since I don't understand spanish very well I have problems understanding the exact meaning. Thanks for any help!

Sure! just a second.
"Llegados a las ruinas que ya conocían decidieron hacer allí un refugio pasar la noche" - Arriving at the ruins they have already decided to build a shelter for the night?
Among the monks there was a young one who already saw what there was to begin? I guess he sees that he has to start doing something
"estaban por allí las grandes piedras del antiguo edificio, aunque no todas enteras". there were some large stones from the old building, but they weren't all whole? Sounds weird
There were trees nearby with which to make wood and not far away a river ran which meant that the poor monks would not die of thirst.
Much of this is probably incorrect, but that is why I'm making this post ![]()
Wow I admire you for coming back to the question after such a long time.
My Spanish probably isn't a lot better than yours but it looks to me like you made a pretty good job of translating it last year.

that they already knew...... it should be "para pasar..."

who right away saw where he had to start.
