Multiple verbs in a sentence- how to conjugate them all

Hi, there is an example in my textbook: "Va a clase de ingles en una academia de cinco a siete y luego vuelve a casa" - However my understanding was that where there is multiple verbs in a sentence, the first verb is conjugated and then the remaining verbs stay in their infinitive forms??

Thankyou

This is true only when the verbs follow one another. If they are separated by "que", "y", etc, (making them separate thoughts) then they are conjugated. It actually follows the English pattern.

Va (conjugated) a clase de ingles en una academia de cinco a siete y luego vuelve (conjugated) a casa"

He goes (conjugated) to English class at an academy from five to seven and then he goes (conjugated) home.

Voy (conjugated) a ir (infinitive) a casa

I am going (conjugated) to go (infinitive) home
