Se trata de un texto sobre hidrología, y no sé cómo se puede decir en inglés la palabra ENRADA en la frase: el volumend e entrada de agua en un río. Entrance?

You are right, "income" as a noun is, indeed, just for money. But "incoming" is an adjective (please correct me if I'm wrong people, grammar in English is nog my strong side...) like big, small, yellow, high, and is used to say something about a noun (in this case: volume). Here, "incoming" indicates an inward movement.
