Do you mean your ex-boyfriend? If not, then the next time you speak with him, address him as John Bobbitt. I don't know if you're old enough to understand the allusion, but if your boyfriend does, it will grab his attention. It's enough to put fear into the heart of the bravest man.

"Mi novio ( o enamorado ) me engañó."
"Engañó" is more commonly used in most Latinamerican countries.
"Ser infiel" o "me fue infiel" is more formal, but when somebody is in that situation the first words that come out on your mouth is to say "me engañó".
