HomeQ&A What does "recabarren" mean?

What does "recabarren" mean?

I'm trying to read the story by Jorge Luis Borges, "El FIn," and the very first word I can not find a meaning for. What does "recabarren" mean?

The sentence is, "Recabarren, tendido, entreabrio los ojos y vio el oblicuo cielo raso de junco."

Thanks, Kelan

Recabarren can be a surname; I'm not sure that's accurate in this context because it's followed by a comma -- but it's a possibility.

You are right. It is a surname (not a Spanish word). - iker, FEB 3, 2010
