Use of ser y estar: Make sentences to practise:)

Use of ser y estar: Make sentences to practise:)

I am suggesting a game on the use of ser y estar a lot of students have problems with.

a) We are going to put pairs of similar expressions with ser y estar and sentences to go with it, both in Spanish and English:

ser aburrido/ estar aburrido

To be boring/ to be bored.

Soy una mujer muy aburrida, no me gusta hacer nada.

I am a very boring woman, I don't enjoy doing anything.

Estoy aburrida, este foro es aburridowink

I am bored, this forum is soooo boringgrin

b) You can also mention the use of ser or estar when we use some kind of different verb in English, or the other way round.

To be hot: tener calor

to be hot: ser sexy

Well, all of this with example sentences.

Please remember to post both in English and in Spanish. And do not forget to click the "watch this question"wink

I find this hard to believe. "¡Qué listo eres!" (to mean "how smart you are!") and the exchange "¿Estás listo?" / "Nací listo." (to make the pun) are not used in Argentina?

No samdie... en Argentina se usa el término "vivo" o "viva"

Ejemplos:

Es un tipo re vivo

Mirá que sos vivo vos

Es una nena muy viva

Soy abierto como un libro. I am open as a book.

Pero no preocupes! Estoy muy feliz. But don't worry! I am very happy

He escribido las frases arriba solo por tener la imaginación, como estoy usando ser y estar en frases. I have written the sentences above only to have a imagination, how I am using ser y estar in sentences.

Soy una persona inquisitiva. I am a inquisitive person.
