-1 Reputation?

-1 Reputation?

As I looked over my profile page a few seconds ago, I noticed this... alt text

Now, I know you can only get 200 rep in a 24 hour time period, so, previously it has said that I got 0 rep for being voted up etc.

But, is taking away reputation a new thing? Or is this just SpanishDict making a mistake? Jeje

That is odd. I just did a test. I just now looked at your reputation in the last 24hrs and it said: 197.

Then I voted up your question and rechecked:

198! With the comment: "hlsbookworm earned 1 rep for being voted up on the question -1 Reputation? (12 secs ago)"

Curiouser and curiouser...

Well, I looked at my page again, and when I volpon voted me up on this question, it gave me 1 point, and then when another person did, it gave me 0, so, it ended up balancing itself out I guess. Jeje

Still very interesting though...

jejeje, this is a funny glitch, to get negative points for voting up a post, great! LOL

Is there anyway the site developers can create way to track points of the point tracker. This way we can be sure the negative symbol is not really deducting points. Then after that we could suggest a system to reconcile the tracked points vs. the points tracked and call it the 'points on the tracked points tracker'....

- (just a suggestion)

I very much doubt that this is done but (following the general principle of "Dime con quién andas y te diré quién eres") I can imagine the situation in which the approval of some person(s) would be equivalent to the disapproval of most people).

Good question. I haven't seen that one yet. It must be a glitch. To receive -1 for being voted up on an answer is very strange indeed!

But take heart, you're now 9 points ahead of where you were just a few minutes ago!
