I need help translating this for tomorrow :S I am getting better in spanish but still need some help, want to have a good grade in it, and this is my last year in the school I am in right now. This is a very important grade for me. Could anyone help me?

Hello, I am going to speak about "Asgeir Borgemoen" he is a famous actor in Norway, and many knows him from the show "Fritt Fram". In his youth (teenager, childhood) he wasn't sure what he wanted to be, he was thinking of many wild jobs and adventures, but he went to college and barely got through. After college he suddenly stumbled into "NRK" and there he produced a very popular children show called "Fritt Fram". As everyone in Norway knows him, he a lively (energetic, vital) 39 (with words not numbers please :D) year old man, with his characteristic red hair and good impressions, he has a title which is: the boss over all other bosses. After the show "Fritt Fram" he made two albums for kids, one of them won the "Spellemannsprisen" both became rapid successes. Including all the other things above he has also had many other adventures.

Ok.. that's it, you, the one who might translate this don't need to be exact in words or anything smile please hurry, I will be in debt to you ^^

So you'd like a grade that's better than your ability in Spanish? You'd like an A but you're a C student?

Sorry, it doesn't work that way here.

Do your homework first, then bring it back here for us to check it. We'll be glad to help, if you put forth some effort. Then perhaps you will deserve your good grades.

Well here's the thing guys.. I have been struggling on school with this subject I get A to B in all other subjects but this spanish thing I don't exactly got, I think we actually have a bad teacher. I do all my homework and i have been paying attention to school. Suddenly I find this site and all becomes clear, I ahve learn't more now on two days than on a whole year, strange? Maybe this site really helps that much.

It's not that strange. There are plenty of bad school teachers and/ or bad curriculum. I've learned more here in a year than I learned in two years of high school Spanish, but part of that is that now I have a real desire to learn Spanish, not just pass the class.

OK, so there are some things you don't understand. I know there are some things you do understand as well. Let's try to use the things you know......

Now..your first sentence:

Hello, I am going to speak about "Asgeir Borgemoen" he is a famous actor in Norway, and many knows him from the show "Fritt Fram".

I'm sure you know how to say "Hello." I'm sure you know the word for "to speak".

Do you know how the present progressive works? Ir + a + infinitive ? For example, "He is going to die" is: "El va a morir" (ir + a + infinitive)

Now, how would you say, "I am going to speak" ?

I know I will be very good in spanish in about a month or maybe two, I will only regret this assignement. But I understand what you say, I would still appreciate a translation though smile

do not blame the teacher for lack of understanding. I am quite sure that you realized a while ago that her/his efforts were not succeeding. The best thing to do is to address the problem in advance as it will persist and increase as you move to higher lev - Rivergreen, Feb 1, 2010

Hi, and welcome to the Forum! This is not a homework site - no one is going to do it for you - but if you post your best try at the translation, you will get good feedback and corrections. So try that, OK?
