I didn't see a single word synonymous with supportive, but a lot of phrases rendered as "supportive" (many with the use of the noun apoyo).

Maybe supportive can be translated in different ways, for example:

Position pillows for supportive elevation of leg = coloque las almohadas para facilitar la elevación de la pierna

supportive devices for breathing = dispositivos de respiración asistida / dispositivos auxiliares para la respiración

good suggestions, I just wanted the actual adjective, but yes, i would normally change the part of speech to interpret this word - pilipina, Feb 2, 2010

If you are referring to supportive as moral support, such as a friend would be. The word you would then use would be....Apoyo.

Mi amigo siempre me da el apoyo que necesito para ganar. Siempre es muy apoyado.

Mi friend always gives me the support I need to win. He is always supportive.
