I am running Internet Explorer on a Windows Vista machine. Java is enabled in Explorer. For some reason I am unable to load and run the Flashcard Player. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Well, your first problem is you are using Internet Explorer... However... Is your Java player up to date? Are you blocking "a.sdswift.com" or "c.sdswift.com"? The information for the flashcards are drawn from those two sites, as I found out after I couldn't get the flashcards to load either.

I had this problem a few weeks ago when I was also using Internet Explorer. My computer knowledge is very limited but this is what I did to solve the problem. I installed Firefox as my browser. I then tried to view a flashcard set and still couldn't view them but firefox popped up a little box that said that I was missing X software and all I had to do was click the firefox box and it installed everything I needed to view the flashcards. After that I had no problems with the flashcards. This is the link to firefox. I've noticed fewer problems using SpanishDict with firefox compared to internet explorer. firefox

Good luck
