Perdón. May I suggest that you ask instead "what does meow mean. "What's (even with the apostrophe) means "What is" in English. - Janice, Jan 28, 2010

It is the sound a cat makes

Es el sonido de un gato hace

If someone makes that sound at you, it means they think you are very hot!

Meow has many meanings. One is "hello, I haven't seen you all day". "I am hungry." "I want attention." "I am happy." "I am wanting to be petted." etc... it is similar to bark but different and stands on it's own.

It means, I am hungry, it could aslso mean,'am tired

but then again it could mean,"am thirsty or I need attention It all depends on the personality of your cat. I personally use "roar" but I am no cat, I am a Lion, hear me roar
