It seems that the way I wrote "docientos veinte y dos " went out of fashion back in the '50es Which means I am no spring rooster.

You know it is not common usage,but you can actually say docientos veinte y dos and you would be correct. Your school teacher may be none too happy but it is correct usage.I know,Iknow people are going to disagree with me, but such is life-"ni modo".
