I've looked everywhere, without success.

Does anyone know?

I think they don´t. According to wiki.es,

El pit bull en la actualidad es un término genérico usado erróneamente para agrupar a diferentes razas o cruces de perros

and here:

El rottweiler es un perro molosoide.

These people seem pretty serious about their dogs, so I imagine if a word existed, they would be using it!

As a "student" of this website, I'm amused to find that this post has received only 26 views, while a post on golden retrievers has received more than 5,000.

Does such a wide disparity suggest that the viewers favor the friendly, tag-wagging, impish goldens over the no-nonsense pit bulls and Rottweilers?

This seems kind of sad to me, because any dog is only as gentle and well mannered as its master, and the pit bull and Rottweiler do have wonderful qualities.
