Any tips on learning Spanish/using this website?

I'm going to Chile mid-March, and I'm keen to pick up as much Spanish as possible. I've been doing a lesson a day on spanishdict, but I'm sure I lose a lot of vocabulary when I move on. Also thinking of buying the rocket spanish Course. Do you have any other suggestions?

I'm doing the rocket course right now, even as I type this. Previously I have done Pimsleur and Rosetta. Rocket is like 99 bucks. You should grab it. Also get Michel Thomas Beginner and Advanced (but not Rosa Lee Haydan) and do the courses on this site. One lesson a day is not enough. Try two lessons and get some spanish music and watch a couple of Spanish shows at night. Also get some flashcards. The vocabulary at the beginning is a real tough thing to learn. You can't learn Spanish in like 30 minutes a day. You need at least two hours a day and preferably more, and posting on this site doesn't count well towards that end unless you are posting a question you have and not browsing. Browsing is counter intuitive. You'll get it.

two hours? I'd better get onto it. My brain gets a bit frazzled after a while, but I'' mix it up with some videos. I'll get that rocketspanish course - have already done the free lessons. - just4karns, Jan 26, 2010
