making it difficult to exactly understand whether your Spanish book really shows Raul mena, as in the title, or Raul Mena, giving credence to the idea that Mena is a name, I also have come across this word ...not written, but listening to Chapter 9 of Pepe Carvalho y una desconocida. Like yourself, I cannot figure out what "mena" means in my context.
I hear "Jamones al por mayor mena" ...and know that "jamones" refers to hams and "al por mayor" indicates that they are wholesale. But "mena" translates to "ore" according to one entry I found in a dictionary online. I don't even find the word in my Gran Diccionario Oxford :-( So what am I to make of it. I am as stumped as you are. In my case, of course, I may be hearing it wrong or transcribing it incorrectly
In any case, I hope someone comes to our rescue!!
