How do you say "I am going to take a shower" is it Voy a me ducha....voy a ducharme....voy a me ducho
I understand that you don't use the verb tomar, but I am getting all wrapped up in the proper sentence struction with a reflexive verb.

I think that you can either say, "me voy a duchar," or "voy a ducharme."
I agree with hithere3387.
You cannot say me tomo una ducha because the verb tomar is not reflexive. With ir a + an infinitive you can use the verb ducharse which is reflexive. In which case, the reflexive pronoun can either be placed before the verb ir or it can be attached to the second verb duchar: Me voy a duchar. OR Voy a ducharme.
Corny, your assumption of not using Tomar in this case is correct. Hithere and Heidita are correct. You can also say, "Me voy a bañar." This form is less discriptive (shower or bath tub).
Hi Corny, welcome to the forum
to help you with further posts:
ir a hacer algo, always followed by infinitive
Voy (you conjugate the verb "ir") and use "a" and then the infinitive.

answer: voy a tomar una ducha in spanish the verb tomar has two meanings.... might be to take and also might be to drink it depends the context
eventually you also could say: me voy a duchar, me voy a bañar, etc

"tomar una ducha" sounds to me like an English calc. I've always heard/read "ducharse"-based constructions.
