Use of tildes
Why do, for exampled, the word jóvenes have a tilde, while it's singular form, joven, does not?
Are there any rules or reasons to this?

I found this on this site:
Words ending in n in an unstressed syllable:
Add an accent to the appropriate vowel to maintain the correct stress.
Examples: el examen (the exam) ---> los exámenes (the exams); el crimen (the crime) ---> los crímenes (the crimes)
Hope that helps!!
