how can i pass the first lesson

Question

I am a very slow typer so I cant do the recal and I dont have a micro phone so even though i have a 100% and all the other groups i cant pass the lesson. What can I do?

I appreciate that you asked this question. I think it also is important for persons who might not be able to type at all due to various medical conditions (for example, like several of my Mother's peers who have Parkinson's Disease). I wonder if there is a way (there might already be one) that the site could offer an option of slowing down/eliminating the required response times to the recall section.

Related to the section of the lesson that requires a person to speak the response...at first I avoided that section because I don't have a microphone either. Then I realized that I could do that portion even if it wasn't being recorded. After I spoke the phrases out loud, I listened to the site's recorded response and then clicked to the next section. I received full credit for that portion.

First watch the lesson for 100 points,

Then do the recognize, try get more than 180 points.

Then do the listen, try get more than 180 points.

Then do the recall, if you get a question correct in 30-28 second, 10 points. If in 27-25 sec, 9 points. If in 24-22 sec, 8points. If in 21-19 sec, 7points. If in 18-16 sec, 6 points. If in 15-13 sec, 5 points. If in 12-10 sec, 4 points. If in 9-7 sec, 3 points. If in 6-4, 2 points. If in 3-0 sec, 1 point. even if you are a slow typer, you can probably get about 7 points per question. 20 questions is 140 points.

Then do the writing. And get 150 points.

Then you pass the lesson because all adds up to 750.

It seems I'm not the slowest typer, but I too found incredible the speed required to get the maximum points, especially when there are some specific Spanish letters to be typed in But never mind.

The talking section also worked for me without actual record. Although I have a microfone, for some reason nothing was recorded. But still the points were added. Just try, maybe it will work for you too. Good luck!

Anyway, I just checked yoru profile, you only got like 25 poins for the listening. You must do the lesson again, why would you want to pass on if you have not mastered that yet?

these are the points you can get, as you can see you don't need the mic:

Watch 100 / 100 Recognize 0 / 200 Listen 0 / 200 Recall 0 / 200 Write 0 / 150 Speak 150 / 150

Hi thebeast, never mind, you can pass onto the second lesson without a problem. Thhe only thing is, you won't get all the points of course.
