Capitalization
I believe I know the rules for Spanish capitalization with the exception of one. Is there ever a time when a sentence does not begin with a capital?

In Spanish, a complete sentence always begins with capital letter. An accurate well-written sentence. You know the rules. You are right. But keep in mind that is not a question of someone caring or not to use grammar rules. It´s just sometimes informal use of written language becomes the norm. Or it´s generally admitted.
If you are going to write an essay for publication, for instance, then you have to follow formalities and you will find that all the rules you know are used. But, for instance, no matter how hard I try to write without mistakes here, sometimes punctuation is not the most important part of the post and although I edited a lot I have typos just because website posting allows such distractions.
And when you´re writing emails, it´s generally accepted to write them all without using capital letters, so punctuation becomes more important than ever for the sake of comprehension. An even then some people omits punctuation because the media allows you to.
Finally, I think you have to learn the rules first in order to know how and when to ignore them later.
Even when it's only one word (just as in English).
Gracias
Never, As far as I know, but, how about a one word sentence? like Alto.
