(expression) you should have seen it

How would you use the expression "you should have seen it"? Meaning you would have enjoy seeing it.

I found this in my spanish lesson which answered my question. You should see his car. Hay que ver el auto de él.

I think one way would be with Qué + past perfect subjunctive

¡Qué lo hubieras vísto!

Which translates roughly to "Oh, that you had seen it!"

But I could be wrong...wait for a native speaker to offer an opinion.

You're saying "What you would have seen (it)." This is fine, but without "Lo." A direct translation would be, "Lo debías visto." - 005faa61, Jan 19, 2010
