How would you translate:

"What things do you miss the most from Colombia?" "How did people treat you when you first came to the United States?" "How has your impression of the US changed after being here longer?"

Using the usted form how would you translate these to spanish?? Please help! smile

Since I'm bored at the moment, I'll translate. But after this, you'll have to do your own homework - it's the best way to learn.

You’re too kind, 280ezrider…but just some missed punctuation I noticed:

  • Shouldn’t usted be capitalized = Ud?
  • Cuales as interrogative should have accent – Cuáles?
  • extraña should agree with the subject = las cosas que se extrañan?
  • llego is 3rd person preterite = llegó?
  • Cambiabo = cambiado?

My lame excuse = it's late and we sometimes get sloppy. You're right about the punctuation & spelling. "Extraña" is conjugated to "Ud," not to "las cosas." Sometimes we put the subject after the verb, as in this case. - 005faa61, ENE 18, 2010
