Use "Remover" in a non-Spanglish way

I heard someone use "remover" like it was "remove", but generally quitar takes that role. I saw "tossing and turning" in Spanish dic. So if you were to say, "Does she toss and turn in bed at night alot?" Would you use remover? "¿Se remueve en la cama mucho por la noche?" I also saw "despedir," or "to sack", as other meanings of remover. I need more examples of remover, thanks.

Hello,. she´s been tossing and turning in bed all night long = ella se ha retorcido en la cama toda la noche.

as regards remove / remover, the English meaning of taking away has gained great acceptance in Spanish due to sloppy translations. As you said, ´quitar´ in ´remove the lens´ is a better choice.

You can use remover la pintura when you are stirring paint in its container to mix it better.

But also remover = remove when you dismis someone from office: Remover al director del Banco Central

For the "tossing and turning", it should be "se mueve mucho". Mover = Move
